Lighst and Music does not collect, track or share any personal information or activity from the user.
When needed, Lights and Music only asks for permission to access information regarding:
• HUE bridge and lights: The application asks for permission to connect to the hue bridge, which creates a key that the app can use to connect with the hue bridge. The user can delete this key by pressing the "reset connection" button on the bridge view. This key is only used within the app and never shared.
• The device’s music media: The application asks for permission to access music tracks from the user media library, in order to play those tracks and sync with the hue lights. The applicaton does not share or collects any information or data related to the user's media library. The user can revoke this permissions on the settings for this application (within the Settings app).
• The device’s microphone: The application asks for permission to access the microphone when using the microphone as a music source, in order to sync the hue lights with the music that is being perceived by the microphone. The audio captured by the application via the microphone is never stored nor shared in any way, it is only analysed in order to recognize the tempo of the music being played, then its discarded entirely. The user can revoke this permissions on the settings for this application (within the Settings app).
• Spotify account: The application asks for permission to access the user's Spotify music library, in order to play tracks coming from the Spotify service and sync them to the hue lights. This generates a token that stays within the app for 1 hour. The token is invalidated after that time and the user has to grant permission again if they want to continue using Spotify within this app. No information or data related to the user's Spotify account is stored or shared in any way.
